Whay Hey

Well have made it. Touch down NZ.

Bring on a life of no work (well for as long as possible)

Stopover Hong Kong

After spending 12hrs on a plane it was good to be able to walk more the 20m. The flight to Hong Kong was good and managed to get though all of the good films (which occupied about 6hrs, Just 6 more to go) and spent the rest of the flight eating. For some reason they set up a mini bar in the center of the plane with food and drink. This they topped up every so often enabling constant eating and drinking for those who desided (this occupied the remaining 6hrs - although I did meet a bloke who drives a robot which cleans the out side of the plane (did you know that a plane gains about a tone of dirt each month) so did not spend 6hrs eating)

With a 7hr stop over to fill I was aloud out of the airport and into Hong Kong city. This was welcomed. Hong Kong is a great place a the 7hrs flew by. The city is a mix of big buildings covered in glass and marble and look very fancy and then round the corner you can buy a piece of string off a crazy lady living in a shed.

For some reason I was still hungry so went in search of food. I settled for a little place down some side street which didn't look too bad. Now for those of you who have eaten Chinese food in England forget all you think you know. Chinese food in China is nothing like back in England. I had some noodle thing with what I thought was beef in (am still alive so couldn't of been that bad) which was amazing.

I also managed to find Hong Kong Zoo. A funny place which is slap bang in the middle of the city. One moment you are walking through a fountain in front of an office block and then you are being grunted at by a gorilla. The zoo was full of lots of animals and where there was open space was filled with people doing some form of yoga. Amazing.

Oh, if you are ever there and need to stay awake go into one of the supermarkets and sample some of there tea. After not sleeping on the first flight I then stayed awake for the next flight and then went out on a drinking session on the first night in New Zealand. I total I was awake for about 54hrs and still didn't feel tired. (got to love that tea :> )
