Albel Tasmin - By Sea
Day One:
Oooh the pain. With a walk that could of got me an Oscar nomination in a John Wayne film the effects of last nights horse riding had caught up with me.
After all of the safety talks on how we could die out at sea and brief instruction on how to use a paddle we headed off up the cost. The sun was shining and the water was clear so spent the day exploring little bays and amazing rock formations on the islands just off the cost. That night I stayed at Anchorage (which is about one days walk/paddle into the park) on a floating house boat which seems to be designed soley for parties. The 20 beds were split between the two sides of the catamaran hull mainly below water level (but there were nice little windows just above water level to look out over the sea). The first deck housed the kitchen and a small dining area and then on the top deck there was a big open space holding the bar a large table and a bbq on the back. This was where the night was spent drinking and enjoying the first meet I had eaten in the last two weeks (got to love that pasta though)

The crowd on the boat was relay good company and it was with that, that in the early hours of the morning I found myself sitting on the roof with a Brazilian, a Swede, a crazy Dutch and an English chick drinking and discussing the meaning of life the universe and everything under the start.
The night was finished with a quick swim by moon light and if much more had been drunk would of freeked out the sainest of folk. The water was full of phosphorescent algae which when disturbed gets all excited and starts to glow giving the swimmer a funky glow in the dark. As I said - freeky.
Day Two:
I woke to the sight of a half naked mad falling past my window and the sound of a hippo landing in the sea. Was that the crazy Dutch man? Then confirmation in the form of the Brazilian who informed the who boat that the crazy Dutch man had just jumped off the roof. - maybe this is how they do things in Holland.
After breakfast I caught the water taxi up to the top of the national park where we were dropped of at a place called "Bonk Bay" and from the startled look on the couples faces it was named for a reason.
The day was spent paddling back south past all of the seal colonies and through the clear green Waters of the lagoons which scatter the coast and then with a taxi from Anchorage back to civerlization on the outside of the park this completed Abel Tasmin by sea.
